Our teachers in training work closely with other yoga teachers to perfect their yoga skills. This program will shape your future in Yoga as you develop the skills needed to properly instruct others. At Surya Yoga, we want to help you reach your goals as a Yoga instructor! Our teachers in training are passionate and dedicated, but still have some room to grow in this field.

Prerequisites:

~Love Yoga

~6 months of practice at a studio/gym or in your home (YouTube or videos)

~Have a desire to learn more about yoga and yourself

~Set up a 30 minute (free, no obligation) Q&A session with Annie at (913) 815-0082

~Take a free class at Surya Yoga with Annie

~Fill out the NO-COMMITMENT application

Certification Requirements:

~Take 25 additional classes; which are free at Surya Yoga, but can be taken at any studio

~Turn in all homework

~Turn in in-class final and take home final

~Pay in full by graduation. Any and all money paid after program begins is non-refundable

~Trainee can miss 8 hours without making up any missed hours. After 8 hours are missed, the trainee is required to make up missed modules with the trainers during the next teacher training or at a mutually agreed upon time before graduation. Private make up hours are at an additional cost of $100/hour.

~Trainee has one year from graduation date to make up homework, finals, classes, and modules to receive a certificate

The Psoas Book by Liz Koch

The Science of Yoga by Ann Swanson

The Key Muscles of Yoga Volume 1 by Ray Long

A manual will also be provided on your first day.
