From Gymnastics to Yoga
My love for movement began at a young age as a competitive gymnast. I later transitioned into cheerleading, using my gymnastics skills throughout high school and college. My yoga journey began in college, and it was love at first pose. After having my two beautiful boys in 2009 and 2011, I found yoga to be the perfect way to regain my strength, reduce stress, and find balance in my busy life.
A New Path
In 2013, I took the plunge and completed my first yoga teacher training. Just a year later, I opened Surya Yoga, fulfilling my dream of creating a safe and welcoming space for people to explore the benefits of yoga.

The Beginner Series
Understanding the anxiety that many people feel when starting yoga led me to create the Beginner Series. This program is designed to help you overcome the initial hurdles and discover that there is a better, healthier way to live.
Beyond yoga, I'm passionate about teaching anatomy, nutrition, and mindfulness. I believe in a holistic approach to wellness that encompasses not just physical, but also emotional and mental well-being.
When I'm not teaching yoga, you'll find me:
Cheering for KSU and Chiefs Football
Enjoying family vacations
Baking vegan desserts
Listening to 70s rock and Stephen King audiobooks
I'd love to be a part of your wellness journey. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to book a class.
